No. Figgy is an independent iPad browser built specifically for canvas-first web apps like Figma and FigJam. It is developed independently and has no corporate affiliation with Figma, Inc.

No. Free means actual editing.

When you open a Figma or FigJam file in Figgy, it loads the document directly into Figma’s web editor inside WebKit. You get the full canvas, touch inputs, Apple Pencil support, and keyboard shortcuts.

Figgy operates as a specialized browser container rather than a native vector app, meaning you have access to whatever features Figma’s web editor supports once loaded. Safari is built for scrolling through typical web pages. Figgy is tailored for long, focused canvas sessions. It includes pinned file tabs that stay alive, whole-page zoom to keep dense sidebars legible, touch and Pencil interactions that do not trigger browser gestures, local font support, and adjustable render profiles to handle heavy files.

Safari relies heavily on system-level navigation gestures. When you try to pan or pinch the Figma canvas, Safari frequently misinterprets your fingers as a command to navigate back a page or zoom the whole browser viewport. Figgy suppresses these destructive browser-level gestures so your touch and Pencil inputs go directly to the artboard.

You can use any browser you prefer. Figgy exists for designers who want an environment engineered exclusively around Figma and FigJam workflows, rather than a general-purpose web browser.

It is a persistent strip of essential modifier keys—Command, Option, Shift, and Undo—placed directly along the edge of the canvas. It allows you to select multiple items, duplicate objects, check relative distances, and revert mistakes using your thumb, so you can work comfortably with the Apple Pencil without needing to clip on a physical keyboard.

On supported iPads, holding your Apple Pencil just above the screen lets you preview colors, sample hex codes, or inspect layer bounds before your stylus actually touches the glass.

Figgy supports .ttf and .otf font files (it does not support .ttc or .otc collections). There are no artificial limits on file size or font counts. Bundled open-source typefaces are free to install, while importing custom font files requires Figgy Pro.

Once your fonts are added to Figgy, you need to connect them to Figma's local font helper:

1. Open any Figma file inside Figgy.
2. Tap the top-right menu and choose Preferences.
3. Under Permissions and helpers, locate local network access.
4. Tap Show Me How To Connect, then tap Connect.
5. Reload the file if your fonts do not appear immediately.

All installed fonts remain strictly on your iPad via a local loopback agent. Figgy is not a cloud font service, nor does it install fonts globally across iPadOS. Please make sure you have the proper licensing rights for any custom fonts you import.

Pinned Tabs keep your primary workspaces—your master component library, project scratchpad, or active sprint files—anchored to the top of the browser. You can switch between them instantly without searching through open tabs or reloading documents.

Page Zoom on free uses the default scale. Figgy Pro unlocks custom Page Zoom from 0.8× to 1.5×, so dense properties panels and toolbars stay readable on an 11-inch screen. Render profiles (High Res, Balanced, Performance, Low Memory) let you trade sharpness for responsiveness on heavy files.

Yes. Figgy supports both Figma and FigJam canvas sessions.

No. Figgy does not have an algorithmic feed, analytics trackers, advertising SDKs, or user profile databases. We never collect your personally identifiable information, location data, browsing history, app usage statistics, or Figma file contents on our servers.

Your tabs, local settings, and WebKit cookies stay on your iPad or are handled directly between your device and the services you visit. Figma manages your account and authentication directly. On the App Store, our privacy label is marked as Data Not Collected.

Your files remain on Figma’s servers, exactly as they would when using desktop Figma. Figgy serves only as the browser window, not your cloud storage.

Yes. The free tier gives you a full editing experience in Figma and FigJam—it is not a crippled preview mode.

Free features include full editing access in the web editor, default page zoom, balanced touch gestures, up to three open tabs, bundled open-source font packages, and the default on-screen Touchbar.

Figgy Pro is an optional upgrade available as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime unlock. It adds power-user features: custom Page Zoom and scaling ratios, alternative touch gesture profiles, full Touchbar customization, custom font file imports, unlimited tabs, and Windows-style keyboard shortcut mappings.

Core editing is completely usable without paying. In the US App Store, the options are currently Figgy Pro Monthly and Figgy Pro Lifetime. Local prices vary by region; please check the live App Store sheet inside the app for current rates.
